To the Smith family, my condolence to the family during this time of bereavement .
Sir Alex, as he was affectionately called, I have known almost all my life. Always greeted me with a smile and never hesitates to ask how is my family doing.
Often times we forget how close someone is to us until they are not here anymore. We are not blood relatives but to me you are like family. You will always have a special place in my heart.
Out of sight but never out of mind.
Love Tenny

My first meeting with Sir Alex was in Jamaica at his Duke Street address, which was over 20 years ago.He walk up to me and said I looked to be a nice lady and he wanted to show me his chickens he was raising. It may sound surprising but yes he did actually speak.
Ever since he and his wife migrated to Boston we became close friends. We talk about his work at CD Alexander, we talk about how he often times walk to visit his wife's grave, and talk about Church. We even had weekly phone calls, he had last call me the Tuesday before he passed away.
Sir Alex's in the Summer months would walk to my house all by himself and when I say how did you get here, he would say " Yuh think me a idiot, mi now how fi find yuh, mi walk slow"
Over the past year Sir Alex has been a regular visitor at my Church not missing Sunday Service, still smiling when greeted but not much words. He was loved by his H.O.D Church family.
I KNOW THAT HE GAVE HIS HEART THE OUR LORD.
Lets us celebrate and give thanks for his life.
Madge.
