Obituary of Aaron Green, Jr.
Our beloved Aaron Jr. passed away in his sleep at his home in Hyde Park, MA on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Aaron Green, Jr. affectionately called "Brother," was born to the late Aaron Green Sr. and Sarah (Gaymon) Green in Boston, Massachusetts on July 30, 1953. He was the elder son of six siblings.
His early education was at the Shaw Preparatory School in Boston, MA. Aaron attended Roxbury Community College where he majored in Business Law and general studies simultaneously accepting a correctional officer position. Additional training in computers was obtained from the New England Veteran's Shelter.
Aaron’s past employment included the Massachusetts State Home Dept. of Administration, counselor for the Challenge Program of Mass. Youth Services, Correctional Officer for Suffolk County House of Correction on Deer Island, MBTA Ride Services, Brewster Services and Dave Transportation Service City of Boston Commission for the elderly.
Aaron was honorably discharged from the United States army as an E-4 after serving his country as an active duty member and then as a reservist.
Aaron lived most of his life in Boston (Roxbury) MA. He was an extremely active person in and out of his community. Some of his activities and commitments included: member of Morning Star Baptist Church located in Mattapan, MA, served as ordained deacon in Framingham, MA; a singer of the well-established Gospel Singing Group Clarence Thompson, Sr. and New Spirits of Boston, MA.
Aaron leaves to cherish his life: his mother, Sarah Green of Randolph, MA; four daughters, Maggie Hudson of Brockton MA, Falesha Green of Dorchester, MA, Fallencia Green and Delanie K. Pryor both of Roxbury, MA; Sisters, Crystal Green of Randolph, MA and Pam Harris of Lynn Haven, FL ; brothers, Stanley Green of Randolph, MA and Mitchell Green of Columbia, SC; Son-In-Law, Donald Pryor of Roxbury; Sister-in-law, Doreen Green and Grandchildren, Daijah, Darissa, and Desirae Pryor all of Roxbury, MA.
Aaron’s family includes a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many, many friends.
