Obituary of Wilma Cynthia Alleyne-Denny
Wilma Cynthia Alleyne left us on February 11th, 2019,
Wilma was the daughter of the late Daphne Eugestine Alleyne Harding and Eustace Graham Alleyne.
Grand-mummy as she was fondly called was born in St. Michael, Barbados on October 20th 1938.
Wilma attended Carrington’s Village Girls School and worked at the Pink Pelican Laundry for many years.
Wilma later migrated to the USA where she worked at Massachusetts General Hospital until early retirement.
Wilma is survived by two daughters and three sons, Decourcey, Annette Sonia and Curtis Alleyne Renee McCollin whom she adopted.
Wilma also leaves her six grandchildren Brian Alleyne, Siobhan Panias, Shakeitha Clarke, Kimar Griffith, Shanel Anderson, and Kadijah Paul. Thirteen great grandchildren, Kayla McCellan, Arimayah, and Zariah Williams, Ernie, and Ethan Panias, Solomon and Kingston Anderson Kemari, Kemara, Keane, and Keon Morris, and Mason Alleyne. Siblings: six brothers and four sisters, Frederic, Keith, Hilton, Victor and Colin Harding and Cardinal Howell, Esme Alleyne, Justine Pierce, Angela Brathwaite, and the late Margaret Hunte. Daughter in Law: Pamela Blackman Alleyne.
Wilma was a beloved aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Wilma was the late wife of Darnley Dacosta Denny.
Mum made her peace with God and is now at home with him.
