I worked with Fred at the VA in West Roxbury; he always had a kind word and a smile, for me and any others in his path. I am truly glad to have known him even a little bit.
Fred brightened almost all of my days at the VA, with a genuine smile and hello as we passed in the hall. I will miss him everyday, and I never even knew his last name. His kindness was apparent in every interaction. My thoughts are with those who loved him. He was a bright light for Veterans and staff and I will miss him.
