Obituary of Wilbert Carr

Wilbert Carr Sr. born on September 20, 1939 in Pitt County, NC son of Leslie Carr and Mamie Bullock who preceded him in life, departed this life at St. Joseph Rehab Nursing Home on April 9, 2020 in Boston, MA. Wilbert lived in Green County, North Carolina where he went to Brownstown elementary Green County, North Carolina. In 1958 Wilbert had moved to Boston, MA with his brother Marvin. Wilbert met Mary Bulu and they got married in 1961 and in that union, there are 5 children. Wilbert later met Dorothy Mae Boyd and they married in 1976 and in that union, there are 4 children. Wilbert worked for Shawmut Upholstery for over 25 years. Wilbert preceded in death his children, George Boyd, Sharon Williams, brothers Johnny Carr, Marvin Carr and sister Nancy Carr all of Boston, and sister Evangeline Morris of North Carolina. He is survived by his children Wilbert Carr Jr, Michael Carr, James Carr, Pamela Carr, Bernice Carr, Elmer Boyd, Leslie Burton, Natasha Leak, Caprice Boyd, Darrell Boyd, Denise Phillips, Michelle Brooks, Troy Brooks all of Boston, MA. His sisters Katherine Sutton, Shirley Seldon, Mamie Carr, Mary Mumford all of North Carolina, Margie Janey of Florida, and brother Rosco Canady or North Carolina. He was blessed to have 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews.
