Obituary of Adalgisa Mercedes Ruiz Contreras

Adalgisa Mercedes Ruiz Contreras, also known as “Mama”. Born on March 18, 1947. She is the most loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Niece, Aunt and friend. Her beautiful and uplifting spirit always brightened up anyone’s day. Her contagious smile instantly lit up any room. She was the life of the party! She never had any judgement, she only knew how to love and be loved. She welcomed everyone with open arms and always put everyone first before herself. Her soul was so caring, so pure and most importantly as she would say, “FRESH!”. She was loved by many. From her Family, to her friends, to her entire community, nationwide. Every person that has had the privilege of knowing her will forever cherish their memories with her. She has truly touched so many lives. Mama loved to dance and enjoy life! Two ways you would know she was there were if you heard the words “hay caraí or macachicle”. Her humor was one of her greatest assets. She was also a handy woman and had a big love for her plants. She loved buying the most random little gadgets to give to everyone. Funny thing is they always came in handy down the line and were always the most special little details because they were given with so much love. She’s accomplished so many goals in life regardless of the struggles she’s been through. She never gave up, no matter what. Mama was always so fortunate to have such a big Family. She had 8 siblings, 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Out of all of us, she was indeed everyone’s favorite! We don’t know how life can possibly go on without her. Our grief will never come to an end, it will be forever. No one will ever forget you! That will be impossible. We are lucky and blessed to have had her beautiful presence in this world for 73 long years. Her legacy will live on forever! Mama, We know you have made your grand entrance in heaven and you are already resting peacefully in paradise. God has truly gained the best angel. Rest in peace to our greatest love. We love you forever!
