Today, I salute a Christian veteran with fond memory!
Missionary Charlton, Sis. Charlton,
Sis. Monica, or Cookie: many persons no doubt are called by these names. But the lady to whom I'm referring is unique.
I met this charming calming lady, with bright eyes and a beautiful smile, in my early teens while attending St. Aloysius Boys School and she was the cook at St. George's Girl. My cousin taught at St. George's so I was there regularly for lunch. Being the only male in a girl school environment was intimidating. But Cookie was a calming presence for me. Her greetings to me was always, "young man how yu du"? And her response to my reply, "nice" with a big smile!
I still have memory of the taste of the fried dumpling and brown stewed chicken she made on the side for my cousin. I always looked forward to those dinners or next morning breakfasts.
When I baptized at SCR her's was the only familiar face to me. She took me under her wings like a big sister. She was my first and greatest encourager to tarry for the Holy Ghost. Through her I got close to Auntie Lovie, the most influential person in the formative years of my Christian life.
So long Big Sister! We are all on the same train, your coach is a head of ours so you get to the exit ramp before us. See you there!

Grandma you gave me the best and fondest childhood memory, you were not only my grandmother but my second mother. Growing up you made me and brothers felt nothing but unconditional love. A part of my heart has died with you. I never got a chance to tell you that I love you, to kiss you goodbye. I know you're in a better place, but that doesn't ease the pain. God called home my earth angel to fill her role as a heavenly angel. My favorite memory of Aunt Monica is , when she sent a message that she will be coming to Kendal
for the summer all the kids in the family would look forward for that visit because she will bring something for all the children in Kendal as long as she knew the family. She will be missed Love Opal

I would like to send condolences to Errol and the rest of family. Aunty Monica was dear to me. I lived with her while in college and had some fun memories. I also remember as a little girl when she would come to visit us for the summer in Kendal, we would always look forward to it. Those days brings back fun memories that I will continue to treasure. Se loved my mom dearly and was always kind to her. I will continue to cherish her memories and will continually be grateful for all she did for me. She epitomizes a virtuous woman. May her soul forever Rest In Peace. Sleep on cousin Monica.
