Obituary of Josefina Miller Clarke

Please share a memory of Josefina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Josefina Miller Clarke has peacefully left this world at the age of 82 years old. Born in Limón, Costa Rica, on May 28th, 1938, she was the daughter of Jim Miller and Anita Clarke. In her wake, one fact will always hold true to all whose lives were graced by her presence: she was a woman who lived a full life and never had anything but love and kindness to offer to the world. A daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, Josefina was a pure-hearted individual who was truly a substantial contribution to the world. Her most memorable legacy are her children Ray, Ronald, Hernan, and Zoila, all of whom went on to continue her ideals and teachings to the next generation of the Miller-Clarke lineage. She was a devoted mother who did the very most to singlehandedly raise and support a household of five through any and all hardships that came their way. There was nothing which was daunting enough to stop her from adding to the lives of others and making the world a better place. Josefina had an exuberant appreciation for life. Working several different types of jobs ranging from hospital aide to factory worker to homemaker, she had explored many walks of life which gave her an insightful and unique perspective. Her hobbies were plentiful; she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing music on her piano, attending church regularly, cooking/baking, among countless other activities. There so many things in which Josefina was able to find enjoyment, whether she was going out and socializing with friends, working on her personal hobbies, or simply spending time at home watching television/sharing a meal with her family. Her appreciation for live was an exceptional trait which everybody could benefit from adopting. The number of good memories which can be recalled about Josefina truly cannot be measured. Each and every person who has had the good fortune of meeting her in any capacity will, in some way or another, remember what a wonderful and magnificent soul she was. Her greatest wish was that all of her family and friends would appreciate and remember her as the kind, gentle, and caring person that she was. And so, to honor Josefina Miller Clarke, let us all cling to and cherish forever the wonderful memories that we are all so lucky to have of her. Josefina will be truly missed as the world is a much emptier place in her absence. It is important, however, for all to know that she would have wanted us not to cry about the loss of her life but instead to smile and celebrate the fact that we coexisted in the same time and place in the world. We all love/appreciate Josefina and she will remain forever in our hearts.
