Obituary of Mildred Jean Hamilton

In Loving Memory On November 4, 2020, Mildred Jean Hamilton known affectionately as Jean received her wings at 77 years old. Jean was born on January 31, 1943 to the late Mr Eugene and Mrs Geneva Leach. Jean is survived by her son Michael Pickett and his wife Tonya McIntyre; her sister Jackie Young, her brother Alfred Leach and his wife Dolores Leach and brother David Charleston. Her niece Dawn Webb, and nephew David Gratton. She also leaves to mourn her best friends: Joanne Aarons, Valerie Almeda, Ollie Snap, and Joanne Rankins and her God-daughter Sheila Capel. Jean will also be missed by a host of loving nieces and nephews and a large extended family and dear lifelong friends too numerous to mention. She was known for her beautiful jazz voice and singing all around Massachusetts. After raising her son, Jean pursued her love of luxury fashion and opened a clothing boutique while also assisting with the family many businesses. Jean retired from the Boston Public School and was dearly loved by the Hyde Park neighborhood. Jean interests led to her to meeting new people and cultures. Her fierce, unwavering loyalty will be missed by family and friends and she'll always forever be in our memory.
