Obituary of Beth Allen

Please share a memory of Beth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On February 28, 2021, at approximately 2:35pm Margaret Elizabeth Allen passed from this realm of life to the next. Beth, as she was affectionately called, was born on May 28, 1950 in Montserrat, West Indies. She immigrated to the United States in the fall of 1969 with her parents Joseph “Mas’ Joe” Herbert and Bridget Estelle “Aunt Sissy” Herbert along with 7 of her siblings (Jim, Helen, Kenneth, George, Florence, Jane, and Peter). She was joined in the US in 1971 by the father of her children David Allen. They had 3 children together (Rondey, Karen and Janet) and adopted a 4th (Diane Irish). During her professional career she worked as a keypunch operator, then in customer service for Reebok International. Beth loved reading, board games, traveling, and her grandchildren, especially new babies. She was a founding member of Gethsemane 7th Day Adventist Church in Brockton where she worshipped for 35 years. She was predeceased by her siblings, Martha, Jim, Helen, and George. She leaves behind to treasure her memory: 4 children, 5 siblings, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Her home was always brimming with love and laughter. Everyone who knew her, knew her home to be a place of constant hospitality. Her family will always be grateful for the countless memories and her infections laugh. She will be deeply missed.
