Obituary of Anthony D. Buford

On Friday, April 2, 2021, Anthony Buford, loving companion, and father of two children, passed away at the age of 52. Anthony was born on September 7, 1969 in Tunica, Mississippi to William and Revon Buford. He graduated from Brighton High School in Brighton, MA., and was a loyal and dedicated employee of Arthur J. Hurley Company, Inc., Boston, MA. for over 30 years. Anthony shares a son and daughter, Anthony Jr. and Shaunice with his loving companion of over 32 years, Marlena Brown. Anthony had a passion for cars. He also had a talent for electronics and a reputation as a stylish dresser that matched his charismatic personality. Although he had a presence of strong silence, his musical talent shined at family cookouts and outings as the DJ. His loyalty and dependability complimented his qualities as a father, brother, and friend. His no-nonsense approach to life demonstrated his ability to “keep it real” and be the person that you would want on your side. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, William, his mother, Revon and his brother Jerry. He is survived by his companion Marlena, his two children, Anthony Jr., Shaunice, his brothers and sisters, Katherine Buford, Mattie Buford, Dorthian Buford, Willie Buford, Lisa Buford, Debra Coleman and Rodney Anderson, his nieces and nephews, Jamie, April, Hope, Benjamin (Skip), William Jerome, Ricky, Tamie, Donnyce, Jonathan, Lucy, Ronald, Mark, and several cousins.
