Eveline Henson Jackson, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 5, 2021, surrounded by her husband, daughters, and son in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Eveline was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, on January 23, 1950, as the youngest girl of eight children to the late George Gray Henson Sr. and the late Marie Elizabeth Henson. She was a dedicated member of St. Luke Christian AME Zion Church in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where her parents are memorialized. Eveline attended Boston public schools and was a graduate of Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Massachusetts. In 2003 she opened Henson Jackson Art Gallery and Framery, one of the first African American women-owned and operated fine art galleries in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Eveline was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Henson, brother Cleophus "Big Time" Henson, Sisters Geraldine "Gerri" Harris, and Gertrude "Gert" Henson, her nephew Staton Patterson and her grandson Edward Andrews III.
