On August 30, 2021, Shermon L. Brown - Evans Passed Peacefully into Eternal life. She was born January 1, 1952, to the late Mr . William Brown Sr, Lydia Y. Brown. Who preceded her in death. Also, her five brothers and one sister she is now joined with Thomas, William, Harry, Darryl, Greg, and sister lavanna, along with her brother-in-law David Foster. Shermon two grandsons Torey Evans, Dana Jackson one Great Granddaughter, Azariah Evans - Wiggins is preceded in death. Shermon is survived by her seven children Bruce Brown, Patrice Evans, Ronald Evans, Cornelius Evans, Johnny Evans, Wakeelaa Evans - Charles, Laquan Thomas, and son-in-law Archie Charles and her two stepchildren Jonathan and Lucy Dykes. She is survived by her three siblings Patricia Roberts, of Georgia, Sandra Foster of South Carolina, Lydia Rich of Massachusetts. One uncle Rev. William Young of South Carolina. Shermon leaves to cherish her memories of 31 grandkids and 19 great grands.
Shermon grew up in Anderson, South Carolina. She went to Riverside High School, where she graduated. Where she worked at Patt Read and J.P. Steveson at a young age, then She migrated North to Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked in the hotels. Shermon went on to become a Foster Parent to over 50 kids or more, some of whom she kept in touch with over the years Kaiesha Skinner, Ariel Perry. Shermon could be found outside planting in her garden, Shermon had a love for giving back to her community and helping within her community she ran the Community Center for many years, some of Shermon favorite foods she loved cooking for her family was macaroni cheese, collard greens, Blackeye peas, and her favorite desserts were sweet potato pie and coconut cake. Her favorite Holiday was thanksgiving she enjoyed seeing all her family come together she enjoyed spending her time with her kids and grandkids. Shermon leaves a Host of family and friends to cherish her life.
