Obituary of Betty D. Burnett - Asia

Betty D. (Burnett) Asia, age 74, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston, Massachusetts. Betty was born June 5, 1947 in Sargeant's Village, Christ Church, Barbados. She was the daughter of late Lionel and Mildred Carlotta (Sullivan) Burnett. Betty migrated to the states to Brooklyn, New York, in 1956. Moved to Mattapan, and Cambridge, Massachusetts where she lived most of her years until finally residing in Hyde Park. She worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for Mattapan Hospital and Boston Medical Center for over 31 years. Betty is survived by and proud Mother of Nicole Boyd and Andrea Sandell. Mother in law of Kenneth Boyd and Daniel Sandell. Blessed Grandmother of Kendall and Kenneth Boyd, Jr. Beloved Sister of Keith and Delores Burnett, Ted and Shirley Burnett, and Molly and the late Martin Williams. Joyful Aunt of Russell, Cheray, Dwayne, Gina, Celia, Sherri-ann, Kerry, Terry and Hamilton. Great Aunt of Keith, Kara, Ryan, Alisha, Denise, Genise, Alexis, Sophia, Katherine and the late Matthew. Extended Mother to Thalia Walker, Shanika Birkett and Omar Husbands. Extended Sister to Kathleen Husbands, Jennifer McGowan, Lorine Birkett, Gladys Guity, Cardenia Franklin, Elenia Wason, Ermetta Greenidge, Jennie Carrington, Mavis Brewster, Marcelle Tull, and Lizella Reed. As well as a host of other family and friends. She will be fondly remembered and missed dearly by all who were blessed enough to know and love her.
