Obituary of Todd Taft

Please share a memory of Todd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Todd Taft of Roxbury, MA, passed away on January 08, 2022. Todd, affectionately known to his friends as “Tizmo T,” was born on August 07, 1964, to Ulysses Jones and the late Barbara Jean Taft. His sisters Phyllis “Ganny” Taft and Deborah Taft predeceased. Todd graduated from Boston English High School. He worked at the Boston Marriott Hotel kitchen in the dietary department in his early years. Most recently, before getting sick, Todd worked as a handyman. He was a Jack of All Trades and loved cooking. Some of his favorite dishes to cook were macaroni & cheese, BBQ chicken, collard greens, and spaghetti. He loved his family and wished he had more time to know the newest generation. Watching sports and going fishing were two of his favorite hobbies. He talked about going fishing one more time, and now he’ll fish every day in heaven, in no more pain. For the last several years, he lived in Roxbury and was known around his building. Often seen walking around in hand with his chihuahua Neko. Todd was known for his sense of humor, love of movies, hanging out with his friends, Boston Sports, and most of all, the ability to live life on his terms. Many are aware that Todd was a fraternal twin to brother Troy, or “little brother,” as he affectionately joked. Troy would quickly reply, “only by 5-minutes.” In December, the family spent Christmas with Todd at the hospital, and he was so excited to see everyone. He bragged to all the nurses and staff at Boston Medical Center about how proud he was of his beautiful nieces and family. He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Monica Taft, Tyra Taft, Jackie Jones, Eunice Kellogg of Jacksonville, F, brothers Troy Taft, Marvin Jones of Jacksonville, FLA, Marc McCullough of Jacksonville, FL, and Corey Kellogg of Jacksonville, FL and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Per Todd’s wishes, he will be cremated, and there will not be a service. Instead, his family will host a balloon release and celebration of life in the spring.
