Obituary of Ernst Louis

Please share a memory of Ernst to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ernst Louis was a beloved Son, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, and Father. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Virgil and Rose Adele Louis. In his early years, he grew up in church with the word of God. He came to the United States in the late 1978's. There he went to school at English Language Center on Arlington Street, Boston. He loved to live life out loud, laugh, and had a contagious smile. He brought joy and laughter to each room he entered. He loved to dance, he loved music, he loved to cook and clean. He always wanted himself and everyone else around him to have a good time. He enjoyed cooking so much that; he became a chef. To know him was to love him. He was the life of the party. He was well known in his community and loved by all. Friends called him Ernie; family called him Tenes. All the same, he was an incredibly happy person with a positive spirit. He was always laughing or smiling, cracking jokes or dancing. Everyone knew, the man knew his way around the dance floor. He loved music and listened to a lot of different genres. From " I don't care" by sweet mickey to cool it now by new edition to "in the air tonight" by Phil Collins to random bouts of Cuban music. The man loved his music. His favorite station was Magic 106.7. It did not matter what song or genre we would listen to; somewhere, somehow, he would build in a drum solo. whether he was cleaning, cooking, or driving, the drum solo was always in there, and to be honest, the drum solo worked every time. He LOVED sports. He knew the ends and outs of ALL sports. Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and Wrestling. Anyone who knew him knew he was a FOODIE. His favorite American food was Chinese food. He went to his local Chinese food place all the time, so much so that they knew him by name. By the time he hit the register, the order was already in; "7 with a side of gravy." He was such a foodie, he decided to become a chef at the Hilton hotel in Boston. He was very passionate about his food and how he prepared food. He could have a dish one time and then recreate the dish from memory. He would then prepare the dish again, putting his own spin on it. One thing is for sure; he could throw down in the kitchen. He was a neat freak. He LOVED to clean. He was always very neat and organized. Ernst married Marie Ertha Louis in 1983, and in this union, two children were birthed, Gina Louis and Herve Louis. He will be remembered/survived by his three children his eldest daughter Gardite Fougy and his grandchildren Myien Ishmael Fougy, Myiella Amelia Fougy-Barnes, and Gabriel Michael Fougy-Barnes, his daughter Gina Louis and his youngest and only son Herve Frantz Louis and his grandchildren: Langston Touissaint Louis and granddaughter Zora Dessalines Louis.
