Obituary of Cyril L. Robinson

Cyril Linton Robinson aka Eric to family and Gully to friends.
Cyril was born on September 3, 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica to Atlis Cuff and Linton Robinson. He
attended Boy’s Town Primary School. As a young teen he migrated to the United States in November
1973 to reunite his mother. Cyril and his mother worked on the important task of retrieving his siblings
and family to join them . He graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School with the class of 1977. After
high school he embarked on a career as an Accountant for SAS Retail Services.
Cyril was athletic, an immensely skillful soccer player. He was granted a full scholarship to
Washington State University, which he declined to stay in Boston, with his mother. However later on he
joined a local soccer league and played for the team Tik Tok United. Cyril was a diverse and intriguing
individual, whose interests ranged from mathematics, sports, history, science, music, food, and fashion.
Watching horse racing was one of his favorite pastimes. Cyril was a great listener and gave honest
advice whether you liked it or not. He was a resilient and determined man.
Cyril met Sharon his wife of 46 years in 1977. Their strong union produced three children. Cyril
leaves to endure his memory, his loving wife Sharon, his daughter Natasha, his son Linton Junior, and
daughters Tenesha, and Natalie. Grandchildren Kamar, Corlin, Linton (J.R.), Isaiah, and Zenryn. He also
leaves four brothers and one sister, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.
As said by Cyril “I’m never wrong but one time I thought I was wrong. Even then I wasn’t wrong.”
