Big Al was always full of life and joking. He always had a comment for everything. I enjoyed being around him and seeing how much his daughter, Leslie is like him. He had such a big heart and loved the Lord.
Both he and Melanie were always such fans of any missionary work I would commit to.
He was great in the kitchen and He taught me how to cook…green beans at my Sisters house …as she is his daughter in law… I will always remember that very moment…his patience and willingness to share that with me.
He will be missed lots. Praying for you all…lots of comfort and freedom in your grieving.
I Love you - Allyson Burrell

Melanie my JEB high school friend,
I extend to you my absolute and heart-felt sorrow on the death of your husband. I knew the McNairs when we were young people growing up at PBC and Al would come to choir rehearsal when Maurice Small was the choir director and Rev. Owens was the Pastor. I will find a way to contact you just to express my understanding of the journey you now face. I have such fond memories of you and Roger. In time you will smile and be grateful for the precious memories and GOD's blessings.

Q: How would you describe Allen to someone who had never met them?
A: 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Bro. Al,
We thank God for having known you.

I met Mr. McNair close to two decades ago through his daughter Leslie. The moment I met him he had this stature about himself that was almost giant like. He immediately took to me as if he knew me for years. He was a great conversationalist, extremely intelligent and a great human being.
Rest well King!

Q: What will you never forget about Allen?
A: Big Al was a character, he loved the attention he received when he would come to church dressed to the T, it was like he was waiting for someone to mention or compliment his look, once that occurred, he would break out his signature smile or chuckle, even blushing, his pleasure would cause me to smile as well, I loved his expression of accomplishment.
During social distancing in our church, I would get a kick out of this giant of a man being led from pew to pew, seat to seat by precious 4' 106-year-old Mrs. Busby, his signature smile on his face, whether right or wrong he would sit wherever she beckoned. I can imagine what an honor it must have been for Big Al to be chosen by Mrs. Busby to be her chaperone.
I could hardly wait to see him again to greet him with a big hug, little did I know the next time i would see him will be in Paradise with our Heavenly Father; he has won the Victory, he's wearing his Crown!
My condolences to the family, I share in your grief, may the Lord comfort all of us.
Annie Clinton

I was honored to have "Big Al" as a colleague at three Companies, Westinghouse Electric Transportation Division which later became AEG-Westinghouse, and Capstone Micro-Turbines. Al was always a great guy to be with as he identified Client opportunities and worked devotedly to make those opportunities come to fruition. I will always remember the many laughs we had together, even though we were working diligently to be successful while striving to fulfill our Customer's stringent expectations. Al was a "SPECIAL" Individual.
God Bless you Al. You will be missed.

Al was very intelligent, humorous, a great story teller. Most of all he cared and loved deeply. Al rest in Heaven. We send our love to Melanie and the family.
