Please accept my condolences for the loss of Michel. Death is never an easy thing to accept. The scriptures even refer to it as “the last enemy death, is to be brought to nothing” -1Corinthians 15:26.
So we are assured that at some point there will be “no more death” Rev 21:3,4 and that it will be “a thing of the past”. However we are not left without hope because at John 5:28,29 it does say that “there will be a resurrection”.
May you find comfort in that hope along with peace.

I, Jonel Dalexis, met Michel Louis in the early 70's as he was a guest speaker at my youth association at Free Methodist Church, Rue du Centre. As he was working with the youth at Church of God (Poste Marchand) specially the blessed of Jesus, (Les Benis de Jesus) he became friends of the groupe Etoile du matin of Fort National, and l'AAF (Association des Amis Freres) where he use to share the Gospel.
According to some friends, Marie Edith Merelan, Mireille Gaudin, Frida Dubiche Alexandre and the late Frank Alexandre, he was the director (Metteur en scene) of Ascendant Troupe Theatrale.
When he moved to Boston, we worked together in different areas to reach out to the youth and spread the Gospel. He loves using the radio to reach out, and he was a friend, a proud sponsor of Echo Evangelique with his church.
Due to his interest in reaching out to youth, he was a source of inspiration for Samuel Laborde when he encouraged him to be part of the Youth Federation Committee in Boston.
On behalf of my family and Radio Echo Evangelique, may the Lord comfort the family, the friends and the church. Pastor Michel entered into the glory of God.
" He fought the good fight, he has finished the race, He kept the faith and now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness". Glory to God!

Pastor Michel Louis's act of complete selflessness when he offered himself as hostage in place of a woman who was taken by kidnappers during a tour in Egypt, is what has remained engraved in my mind about him. This act of altruism is not seen too often anymore because everyone's focus these days is on their own well-being. May we all emulate Pastor Michel Louis's example and remember that we are all called to be our brothers' keepers.
