Obituary of Saleh Brian Campbell
Saleh was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 25, 1954, to Laurlene (Campbell) Hardy and raised by her and her husband James C. Hardy, Sr.
Saleh knew how to enjoy the "finer" foods like...eggs, heavy on the mayonnaise, cold pasta sauce and a good ole fashion bean pie. See a muslim, buy a bean pie.
During Saleh’s formative years, he attended the Boston Public School system: Champlain School, Mission Grammer, Mission High, Mary E. Curley, Brighton High and Dorchester High. Please don't try to do the math; it will never add up. Saleh was no dummy. He just didn't have the patience or the discipline to follow "their" rules. After he graduated from high school, he went on his way.
Saleh was an entrepreneur, known to be a “Jack of all Trades …”, “a Cross Country Hussler” and a “Man of Finesse”. He loved to travel, enjoyed storytelling, making money and the ladies had quite a fondness for his carisma. However, nothing could stand in the way of his love for his daughter, Brazil and granddaughter, Londyn. Saleh moved through his day making it a point to check-in and share his stories with them. It eased his heart to hear their voices.
Saleh was one to stay out of other people's business and expected them to recipricate - show respect. Saleh would often joke with his daughter and say, “Leave me 'lone, make me mad!
Saleh leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Brazil and granddaughter Londyn of Boston, MA; his mother Laurlene Sr; brother James Jr; and sisters Francine and Laurlene all of Boston, MA; Leah of Charlotte, NC; stepsisters Dorothy of Laurel, MD; Barbara and Delores of Burtonsville, MD; aunts Elizabeth Smith and Na'imah Ilyas of Boston, MA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Saleh is predeceased by his step-father James Sr and stepsister Linda.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Wake (viewing) at 11:00 AM and funeral at 12:00 PM. All will take place at the Floyd A. Williams Funeral Home, 490 Columbia Road, Dorchester, MA. Interment will be private.
