Pains me to know another rock in the family is no longer physically with us...Tio Nene and Papa Domingo his older brother both made an impact on their families that you only see in the movies. Everybody who met them instantly loved them. I have many memories of Tio Nene as I was lucky enough to be raised around him thanks to Papa Domingo having some much love for his brother.
What I remember most is the love he had for my little brother Kenny. Though many people cherished and needed Tio Nene’s love and attention his heart was so big he had enough love for everyone. He made everyone feel special. I reminisce my youth watching Tio Nene and Papa Domingos playing a synchronized drum set for his friends and family during different events. Again it pains me to see him go but I am blessed to share the blood of two great men who lived long enough (97 and 99) to change the lives of many.
God bless Tio Nene and our family, Tio Nene and Papa taught us how to love family and I hope I can apply those teachings and keep their legacy alive.
