Obituary of Manuel Pires

Manuel “ NeNe” Pires Manuel Pires (NeNe) was born on August 2nd, 1920. He originated from the Cape Verde island of Fogo. He was Married to the deceased Isaura Alves. He left behind 4 children,, Maria Cardoso(Nhanha) , Maria Alves Pires (Eva) , Edna Alves Pires and his son Luis Alves Pires (Nenezinho). He leaves behind his sister Marcilina Rebeiro (Tugaza). Our beloved Donu, will be remembered for his , devotion, strength, courage and his love of family. He was a kind gentleman and would never want to hurt anyone feelings. His passion was playing the drums especially for Cape Verde festival tradition ,”Bandera”. He loved Whistling and humming to tunes of music. He was high-spirited and positive throughout his life. He enjoyed to laugh and be surrounded by his family. He treasured the love his family and each and every moments shared together. Manuel Pires (Nene) will be missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. We’ll always remember that special smile that caring heart, that warm embrace, you will always have us. We’ll always remember you Donu, because there’ll never be another one to replace you in our hearts,and the love we will always have for you. You will leave a permanent void in our lives forever. Our lives will never be the same without you. You may be gone, but will never be forgotten.
