It has taken me a while to write on Althea’s memory wall because each time I start my eyes fill up with tears. I can hear Althea now telling me to stop blubbering. I’ve known Althea for over 30 years and losing her is like losing a close family member. I tell people that the only person I spoke to more in the last 30 years is my wife. What if loved most about Althea was her honesty. There was never a doubt where she stood on issues. She would never back down from her point of view. She helped me appreciate other people’s opinions. One of my dearest memories was 26 years ago when I told Althea my wife was pregnant with our first child. Althea was the first one to give me a big hug to congratulate me even though she knew I disliked personal contact. That moment we became friends for life. I will miss Althea. Not being able to hold a conversation with her will leave a hole in my heart but I will always keep her memory in my life. Love you and miss you. Rich O
