Obituary of Karen Lynn Royston

Please share a memory of Karen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Karen L. Royston, devoted mom to Jason Biggs and beloved daughter of Betty and Richard Royston has passed on in peace. We will all remember Karen as a sensitive soul who cared for her family. She was born the second child of Betty and Richard and affectionately referred to as Karina Karina. She was always a creative soul and, after graduating from Concord Carlisle High School, went to pursue fashion design at the University of Minneapolis. There, in the midst of schooling and a cold far worse than her hometown, was born her love of the purple one, Prince. We can only wonder which came first, her love of purple or her love of Prince. Later she received a business degree from Cambridge College. Karen went on to marry Robert Biggs, and together they had one son, Jason. We all know her best, and most joyous gift was the birth of Jason. No other love was greater or stronger from the first day to the last. Family and friends were her all. She leaves behind aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many cousins whose love for her will never end and will only continue to grow. Her friends were there for her as her comfort and her support, and we are forever thankful. We also thank her Commuter Rail family for their kindness and generosity. She was a community person who knew the value of being part of a collective. This led to being part of LKM Sorority and a broader loving church family of Peoples Baptist Church. She was proceeded in death by her brother Big Rick (Richard Royston, Jr.). She leaves behind the head of her tree her parents Betty and Richard; her brother Brian and his branch Tanya (Keyani, Arhmia), Taymika (Tyrell, Tamia, Tiearra), and Elizabeth (D’Tavione, Dynasty); her sister Tanya and her branch Nathan; her brother in heaven Ricky and his branch Anisha (Amai, Azhari) and Gayle (Julius) along with her beloved aunts Barbara, Mildred and Sylvia and their branches of loving cousins to our love, Karen.
