Obituary of Cartesia Denise Thomas

Please share a memory of Cartesia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, niece, cousin, and friend. Cartesia Denise Thomas left this world unexpectedly on February 18, 2023. She was born in Memphis, TN. on September 11, 1980, to Dr. Johnny E. Thomas Sr and Carlona J. Thomas. Cartesia grew up in Orlando Florida, where she attended and graduated from West Orange High School before relocating to New York in 2000 and then to Boston MA in 2014. She received Christ at an early age under her father's leadership, Dr. Johnny E Thomas Sr., And loved fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Cartesia was a loving and compassionate person who enjoyed singing and listening to the music of all cultures. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. When you think of Cartesia, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. She loved her family and was a people person, who got along with anyone. Most of all she loved and adored her children, they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children’s faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Cartesia wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life. Cartesia was preceded in death by her late grandparents Johnny L. Thomas, Emma J. Thomas, and Willie and Elizabeth Cochran. She leaves behind her parents, Johnny E. and Carlona J. Thomas; her sisters Angela and Junita Thomas, her brothers Johnny and Luther Thomas, her daughters Destiny and Skye Thomas, her sons Mark John and Ayden Ketzer and her grandson Kamari Thomas Cavanagh; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
